Part of the pan-African AAA network founded in 2010, AAA Tanzania brings together SME agrifood entrepreneurs to share knowledge, build partnerships, and grow their businesses across Tanzania's diverse agricultural regions.

Our Story & Heritage

Founded in 2010, AAA Tanzania is part of the pan-African Africa Agribusiness Academy network that operates across multiple African countries. We were established with a clear vision: to create a platform where agri-food entrepreneurs could connect, learn, and grow together while contributing to Tanzania's agricultural transformation.

Over the past 15 years, we've evolved from a small network of passionate entrepreneurs into a major force for agricultural development in Tanzania. Our Business Clubs serve as dynamic hubs where members exchange knowledge, forge partnerships, and collectively address challenges facing the agricultural sector.

AAA is currently active in five countries: Kenya, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda. Each country operates through a Country Chapter, guided by an independent Board that provides strategic oversight and governance. Within each chapter, AAA establishes Business Clubs located in key commercial and agribusiness hubs. When fully established, each Business Club comprises 20–25 member enterprises, creating a strong peer-to-peer network for knowledge exchange, mentorship, and joint business opportunities.

A Country Coordinator supports and facilitates the overall activities of the chapter and its Business Clubs, while each Business Club is led by a designated Club Leader responsible for coordinating meetings, trainings, and local initiatives. Through this structured network, AAA empowers agribusiness entrepreneurs to scale sustainably, collaborate regionally, and drive inclusive growth within Africa's agri-food sector.

Today, AAA Tanzania works across diverse value chains including fisheries, coffee, dairy, horticulture, and food processing. Through our flagship programs like the Beyond Farming Collective and Reviver regenerative agriculture initiative, we're not just supporting businesses—we're building resilient food systems that benefit entire communities.

Our approach combines practical business support with a commitment to sustainability and social impact. We believe that profitable agribusinesses and environmental conservation go hand in hand, and that empowering entrepreneurs is the key to transforming Tanzania's agricultural landscape.

Our Approach

We combine business advisory services, training programs, peer-to-peer learning, and seed capital with regenerative agriculture principles. Our work spans strengthening cooperatives, supporting women fish workers, promoting youth entrepreneurship, and restoring soil health through sustainable practices.

Our Impact

Through programs like the Beyond Farming Collective and Reviver project, we've reached over 40,000 farmers, strengthened 200+ organizations, and supported sustainable practices across 15+ districts. We're contributing to economic growth, improved rural incomes, and environmental conservation.
